The hope of the sun

by Jem Croucher

As crisp shadows form
With the hope of the sun
Down here I see promise
Of the warmth thatโ€™s to come
With blanket-clad legs
I gaze long at the blue
And know in my heart
that winter is through

It wonโ€™t be long now
Before springtime is here
And the days are much longer
With bluebells to cheer
And again will the garden
Be ours to embrace
Long hours in the sunshine
Provided by grace

  1. Hope. That’s what keeps life worth living. Positivity is very important in determining the way we feel and our level of productivity.
    Lovely piece.

  2. A poetic piece of floral scent. ๐Ÿ™‚
