Poem of the Day — Borrowed

by paturnerlee

Slender truth trapped between living lies

Tall spires breaking violet stained clouds

Quick trick imagination unfolds gracefully

Recall paper to trusted believer

One who crouches before another

Cowers in corners afraid of rejection

Lives on emotion that is not owned

Experienced in mountains of decision

Crushed by simple truth

No stranger to deception

Clapped in irons pressed in couplets

Smooth running engine

Driving degradation

Pit stop madness

Tyres dry for wet run

Then crash

An artefact

In ruin
