Under Grandma’s Quilt

I would like to be
wealthy enough
to love you elaborately
~ on velvets and silks ~
alas
I am but a poor poet
loving you
with velvet verses
now and then.

Let’s rest awhile
under Grandma’s quilt
and I’ll show you what I mean.

      They do! I still have my grandma’s – made from scraps of dresses she made for my mother. One more trip to the repair shop and it will become a throw instead of a blanket 😛 Thanks for reading a commenting on this piece, Colly.
