Poetry Challenge : Valentine’s Day

by Harry

Poetry challenge: Valentines poem.
Submitted by Sarah Hale

I Love You ,
The three words ,
So meaningful , so noteworthy
Yet spoken so causally
And not at all taken seriously.

Precious when said by a mother to her child ,
Magical when said to people in the hospital bed.
Enchanting when said to your crush.
Marvellous when he says it back
Blurted out when overjoyed ,
Buried deep inside when failed to speak ,
Linked those two who were too much in love.

They are the three words ,
Spoken with so much of intensity
Waiting for the reaction with utmost curiosity

They are too noble to be just written ,
Permanent, if already said ,
So, be sure and say it to the right one.

14th February is the day ,
Say those three words,
Feel the love ,
Spread the joy ,
Be happy and Be merry ,
‘Cause it’s Valentine’s Day , Mon Cheri!
