Can I Run Into Your Arms? – Valentine’s Poem

Poetry challenge: Valentine day poem.

 

when my life won’t unwind
and I can’t clear my mind
can I run into your arms
my shelter in the wind

when my heart is crying out
and I’m numb to the world
can I run into your arms
my lover in the pain

when my eyes rain with tears
from crying with all my fears
can I run into your arms
my healer in despair

when my ears say life is loud
and I’m hiding from the crowd
can I run into your arms
my peace inside the storm

when my mind says I am done
and I want to turn and run
can I run into your arms
my hope when I have none
