Shadowed Garden

by Colly

Should my heart be wed to you?
To my wife her heart melt down.

She to join a breathless shadow.
Hollowed by a mistress’s arrow.

Scourge her with loveless hours.
Her love lost – stolen by sparrow.

She still carries my heart as liquid.
Form of breath – marrow – vitality.
