A Cat’s Christmas

by Colly

cat in tree

clip-art photo

Deep

in the jungle,

amid evergreen n brush.

Bough of fresh Douglas fir.

Cats whilst station themselves.

Ear marked within the tree’s base.

Mice no longer saunter in this place.

Should I persuade you to venture out?

This is every cat’s Christmas hang-out.

Enticed by, all, the tinsel, lights n bulbs.

If to snatch claws will scratch per chance.

Then they’ll knock o’er this disclosed post.

Just like

last year
