Swedish Lapland Christmas

by Colly

Poetry challenge: Ice hotel.

swedish crest

The

snow caps

along the Swedish Lapland

Coffee, tea is served in your white room

Sleeping bags are placed o’er deer skin hide

To keep one warm against the chill of the night

Aurora Borealis dances limberly o’er one’s head

Intricate, white, sculptured art surround to amaze

Santa visits on the 24th for, us, Ice-house dwellers

Traditional meal displays pickled herring & meatballs

Church ignites with proceedings in the chapel

Come, book a stay o’er Christmas?

Iceland Hotel in the Swedish

Lapland is a scenic, friendly place.
