Faith

as stones rattling in an empty vessel
move the stone hearted in flesh
eyes gaping at immutable exteriors
holding the inside as sound of waves
ever soft as clay, shaped by pretensions

as peaches wrap around their seed
in happy wonder move gentle souls
eyes open, touching the skin as clay
contours of waves, shape immaterial
yet unfading inside, made identical
by hands of grace visible only to faith
