Deceptively Beautiful Morning

by mkvecchitto

It was over in an instant

on that crisp, bright morning

Squealing tires and a speeding car

Showers of shattered glass

and broken dreams

Devastation rivaled only by

an inconsolable mother

who received the phone call

  1. Wow, this is eerily familiar.

    What a terrible tragedy.

  2. These do work well together. The essay is powerful. Scary how things can change in a blink of an eye.

  3. sobering, right, and truthful…!! Life is fragile.
