~ Temptress ~

by A. L. O'Prunty

Jasmine wafts teasingly, temptingly
As intangible caressing embrace
Alluring, intoxicating, seeking…
Let us gather her essence, oils
That we may shine as stars do above

Long have I waited with bated breath
Seeking the horizon for your return
Long, my nights, filled with emptiness
Only the echoes of declarations heard;
Speak to me now of love and longing

Here, before the sun is resurrected
With beams dancing off waters edge
We’ll bathe in Nights bountiful beauty
Serenaded softly by satisfactions sigh
Drenched in sacred waters, purified:

Come, the moss is cool.
