she isn’t what she used to be

by suicidallyanonymous

I wish I could honestly express rage,
unwrapped like a tornado in summer.
The way you can unfold
and become verbally violent,
but I am too small
for courage.

I want to be
unhesitatingly loved, like
sex under the stars.
To be trusted with your heart…
But the world wasn’t meant for lovers.

Somewhere along the way
you stopped being gentle.
There’s a vacancy
in my chest, because
you only want me
so you’re not as lonely
as the moon tonight.
