Thinking of Others

by graypoet

How many times have you paused
To think of ones you haven’t seen
The quiet speaks as loud as words
You attempt their thoughts to glean.

Through a text, a call or an email sent
You question if their absence is meant
Not to accuse nor do you attempt to pry
Maybe you ask where the time has went.

We all have those that matter to us
So don’t let their quiet go on too long
With all the ways to reach out and touch
Tell them you care if something is wrong.

No one is exempt from life’s challenges
We’re busy with all the cares of the day
If you felt enough of someone’s absence
Make the effort to have something to say.
