lessons our rolling time gathers
on its untouched wheels of age
a walk back on steps of forefathers
moments etched in every page

decades of thoughts, neat on ink
love embedded in letters from far
hands of labour, from floor to sink
yet a space for others, ever left ajar

conversation, painted in hues of art
a distance of respect in every inch
a song composed from end to start
sung every morning without a flinch

habits forged on machines of principle
moving on with the sky under one’s feet
an ocean known by the stir of a ripple
gratitude for nature, blessings to greet

a moment for every book at bedside corner
read along dim lights of unknown pleasure
a life led hand in hand, no one ever a goner
holding at most His feet as the only treasure
