Grace for the here and now

by Michelle Sherlock

photo of a young girl walking down a winding path int he countryside

Gracefully she wends her way

Keen to start each new day

Joy in the journey at last is hers

A friendly word here and there

A supporting hand to show she cares

Obstacles dissolve beneath her focused stare

New life springs up

Compassionately nurtured

Projects once so slow

Leap forward as they gather momentum

The finish line at last in sight

She closes the gap

At last it’s done

She’s conquered
