When Beauty Fades

by Lena Bitare

The days of her youth
Rarely written off her hood
Her shiny hair fades
As it turns white and gray

Wrinkles all over her face
Shows what life she had
Her crumpled skin speaks
Her hard-work day and night

Her beauty fades
But her smile remained
All the beauty she has
Was written all over her heart
