Umbrellagrumps

by Jem Croucher

Grey rainy day. Not quite summer
Although it is June with Wimbledon
And strawberries and umbrellas and moans
All of which will be forgotten soon
When July brings the days of long heat
And the hosepipe ban begins and the grass
turns brown and we bake in our offices
And wonder when it will rain again
