My Little Girl Fell

by Tiffany Layne

My little girl fell,
And she crawled to me
And I picked her up,
And off she went again.

My little girl fell,
And she skinned her knee
And I put her back on that bike
And off she rode again.

My little girl fell,
And she was off track,
But we found her course,
And we put her back.

Then my little girl fell,
And he gave her a ring,
And she ran to me,
With sparkles in her eyes.

And now if she falls,
Someone else will take my place
As the one to catch her.
But I’ll still be here, just in case…
