For a Reason

by Venkat

We are transitory sparks
On the palms of a fire
Along a strip of universe
Kept warm with a reason

We are soft rain drops
Falling on lap of gravity
Seep into a universe
To be one with a reason

We are grains together
Bound by skin of a sky
A universe within borders
Strung with a reason

We are shells in isolation
Swept by heart of an ocean
Propelled into a universe
On shores of life for a reason

We are here
For a meaning
Born out of reason

  1. Ah, yes . . . Yet the reason remains a mystery! Too many reasons are equivalent to no reason, are they not?

  2. Your poem is wonderful. I enjoyed it.
