Making Sense of Senses

by Venkat

I am not
what you see
but to be seen
by eyes of thought

I am not
what you touch
but to be felt
by nerves of heart

I am not
what you hear
but to be listened
by ears of interest

I am not
what you smell
but to be smelled
by nose of love

I am not
what you taste
but to be relished
By tongue of desire
