Start The Day

by graypoet

coffee cup

You grab the first cup quickly
Is it the aroma or the taste
You tap your foot while waiting
Quickly, not a moment to waste.

Is it simply a routine we follow
Or an addiction we never face
Whatever the real reason might be
We grab that sip and feel a race.

Coffee, java, cuppa or just mud
Some like it and then some don’t
Some drink one and then move on
Many sit it down, loyal ones won’t.

I just know that I enjoy my cup
I don’t have to have it, I say
But as this image seems to show
If it’s ready, don’t get in my way.

  2. Yes, yes, yes. I must have my large coffee with cream and sugar everyday. I must. I simply cannot exist without it. 🙂

  3. Lol – this is totally me.. I even wrote a story about it quite a while back.
