Time to Go

by russtowne

I normally like to think things out
Give folks the benefit of the doubt
But there are times I have found
It’s wisest not to hang around
When my stomach starts to churn
That’s the time to leave I’ve learned

So much better to trust my gut
Than be stabbed in the back or knocked on my butt
When things seem too good to be true
I watch my back and wallet too.
