… Feels about as light as lead
Cocooned in a sturdy shell
Of uncertain thoughts,
And steady-getting foot steps
One day I’ll break through all the faltering
I’ll burst forth in supernova fashion
Even if to be seen by my eyes alone
For now, I hoard fanciful dreams
Of green fields, bagpipes, ribbons and gypsies
Of lilting flutes and gently rolling hills to proudly jutting cliffs
Of glittering shifting planes of watery expanses
Where they worship the earth and writhe in earnest to rain dances
One day I’ll shift my limbs to mine own tunes
With my toes wriggling in the sandy shores
Tangoing with the wind and sigh to Chinese caresses
Until then, my bohemian soul lays nestled deep
Softly slumbering, waiting for the dawn
So it could spear through the fields of drowsy clouds
Like King Arthur’s sword laced with Merlin’s enchanted fire
