Velocity You Love

by Heather's Starting End

Masculine skin
Softly laid,
Encasing beating burlap
That is rigid, rough and worn

Eyes bright
The shine of deep distraught
Difference as vast
As a rose is to its thorn

Wild as the ocean
When you crash from above
Frightening the shoreline
With velocity you love

Be my river just once more
Deep waters bring us home
Slow water strokes
White water zest
Where burlap is unknown
