Soft Provocation

by Venkat

Let my thoughts be stones
Falling through into your pond
Make ripples of my presence felt

Let my words become rays
Shining on your night’s gloom
Make your numb eyes move

Let my smile be a wall
Standing on your rigid road
Make your journey scale my heart

Let my silence prick as needles
Upon your balloons of vanity
Make your struggles bearable

Let my love be a heavy rock
Slipping into your daydream
Make you tuned with reality

Let my questions be hooks
To entrap your notions of clarity
Make lessons to not hold on

Let me be your tonic, bitter
Running through thick veins
Heal your maladies of life

A life of fallacy
In your presumed peace
Reshape together
By soft provocation
