Life’s Bow and Arrow

by Venkat

Perched on the pliant edge
A middle of a lithe string
Extended by hand to the hilt
Twang! Goes the arrow

A stance ideal to aim by
In this complex life
From our most adaptable self
Never at rigid ends

By the pull of a dream
Where thoughts flex most
Twang! You gain speed
To hit upon a faraway bliss

inspired by my son’s fascination
