If you were ocean
And me a mountain
Together in nature
We could define the world

If you were fire
And me the earth
Together in essence
We could define the soul

If you were nerve
And me the muscle
Together in function
We could define humans

If you were a word
And me the space
Together in verse
We could define meaning

If you were a thought
And me a feeling
Together in mind
We could define wisdom

If you were a cymbal
And me a xylophone
Together in sound
We could define music

If you were a reader
And me a writer
Together in a vibration
We could define relationship

Each in their role
Encapsulated, distinct
Yet together
Can still make a union
