of wintertime while

shepherds watched their flocks

snow lay on the ground from heaven

above the angels we have heard

on high it came upon

a midnight clear in

bethlehem a babe

was born  away

in a manger to a maid

engaged to joseph lo how

a rose e’er blooming angels

we have heard on high the

first nowell rejoice
