Holiday Blues (Christmas Poetry)

Christmas poem: Challenge.

Holiday Blues

Holiday blues

poisonous thoughts

paralyzing fears

unrealistic expectations

wrapped with bows

stockings filled

with sadness

hanging on the

chimney with care

red and green

lights blinking

feelings on and off

candy cane dreams

garland and bows

tinsel trappings

frozen in time

  1. My sentiments exactly. “Blinking feelings on and off” wins my “Best Phrase for the Season” award.

  2. lol, I knew you would understand Caddo – If I didn’t know it I would say I’m having a Bipolar Christmas! And thank you too Morgan 😉
