Train A Child

by graypoet

Just short thoughts on child rearing…

Teach them to clean and also cook
Help them show kindness and care
Take time to learn who they can be
Make a life they’re proud to share.

Two that can’t seem to get along
Take their hand and in a sock stick
Make them work side by side
For us this sure did the trick.

We want them to have a better life
But don’t give all that they expect
Make them work to appreciate
Teach them value and self-respect.

Long ribbon, tied in a bow
Watch for him to dance and run
Follow to end, tied to the stool
A way to potty train your son.
