Life, an endless road
To look around, to watch
Discern a wild leaf from a toad
Take one’s spirit up a notch
A persistent search inward to see
To read what you really are
Not imagine what you should be
A wise path to take you far
A curiosity for knowledge
To stay calm in a storm
Know every corner and edge
Of your shapeless form
To accept your mind-block
Not be carried away
To stand solid as a rock
Be firm when feelings sway
Not to arrive at a change
But to experience the present
To stay put, rearrange
Make eye’s hurdles absent
When feelings arouse
Moments on fire
A stillness to douse
To know thyself, not aspire
Life, a book to read
Written not by you
A mysterious need
To observe, not pursue
