Please Judge Me Not For I Am Me

above the skin I have no fame

below the skin red blood’s the same

complete with limbs for all to see

please judge me not for I am me

 ******

standing equal in love and hope

might even share same horoscope

there is no other just like thee

please judge me not for I am me

 ******

I am the wind upon your face

 broken angel who fell from grace

a mighty fall from crazy tree

please judge me not for I am me

******

I seek the best in everyone

some things don’t change under the sun

still fighting the fight to be free

please judge me not for I am me

******

I am the sum of all I’ve seen

the good the bad and in between

like the verse “O say can you see”

please judge me not for I am me

 ******

I am a star in heaven’s sky

I’m forever don’t ask me why

some things are just a mystery

please judge me not for I am me
