Cooking, Poem.

by Harry

Cooking can be such a toil

bringing things to the boil

pealing, cutting and dicing

cubing, sifting and slicing

pastry making and fluffing

fill the chicken with stuffing

making toad in the hole

or using vegetable roll

and for your taste

you can always baste

but nothing tastes a good

as a lovely Ulster fry

soda bread, potato bread, black pudding

egg, beans, bacon, sausage, and tomato

that sounds so good

i’m of to make one now.

  5. cooking is a labor of love and it achieves a double goal – it serves to satisfy your creative epicurean soul and at the same time fill your pie hole – I bet you are a great cook Harry
