A Painted Sky

You’ve painted the sky
 as red as a rose
with petals on fire
and leaves all aglow
~
A farewell to today
and a welcome for night
A promise for tomorrow
that all will be right
~
When trials may burn
and cause me much pain
I’ll look to the Painter
whose love never wanes.
