A Painted Sky

by Wendy L. Macdonald

A Painted Sky

You’ve painted the sky

 as red as a rose

with petals on fire

and leaves all aglow

A farewell to today

and a welcome for night

A promise for tomorrow

that all will be right

When trials may burn

and cause me much pain

I’ll look to the Painter

whose love never wanes.

  1. I love, love, love this–especially that last stanza. The Painter whose love never wanes–WOW, beautiful!

  2. I love this too Wendy, and totally agree with Caddo about the last stanza! 🙂
