Plush Peril (Limerick)

You know it’s a bad, arrful day
When, e’er sober—no substance holds sway—
Yet your world gives a tug,
Sends you toppling off rug—
Glad the floor’s just a half-inch away.

  3. old expression back in college – “thank goodness for walls” because if it weren’t for walls, it would be “thank goodness for floors”…the gravity of the situation is really something! nice limerick!
