A Day At The Races With Three Irish Ladies Limerick

by Joel Kravitz

At Del Mar, horseracing’s coolest spot,
I met three Irish ladies who’s handicapping got hot.
I said, “Gal’s you’ve got spunk.”
Then asked, “How is it you’re not drunk?”
They replied, “What makes you think that we’re not?”

I shared a box with three lovely ladies from Dublin who were pretty,
liked to party and play the ponies, and could pick winners.
It turned a chance meeting into a memorable occasion.
Our winnings more than covered our sizeable bar tab and a good time was had by all.

  1. she had a bit of a brogue
and it’s melody never grew old
    we pranced down the aisle
    decked out in fine style
that’s how she tamed the wild rogue

  2. Sounds like a great day at the races!!
