Dewdrops on my roses this morning
Were surely tears from heaven
As all the angels join with us
In celebrating our eternal love.
Yesterday. . . today . . . tomorrow
Blend together in my heart.
For all those years ago
Twas a union so blessed
that nothing
In this world nor the next
Can ever separate
Our adjoined hearts
Forever one.

Childhood sweethearts . . . he lived with his only love and served the country he loved his whole career in the military to the end . . . sadly the end was a slow death to cancer. But, his pain is over and their spirits are still one.
Oh I am very sorry to hear that, I have watched a love one slowly be taken by cancer, it’s a very hard thing. But yes he is resting now. Beautifully said.
