Touch

by Venkat

Life’s events on my head

As beads short and long

Some felt, some unread

Lessons, hard and strong

From brain to finger

Anatomy’s little quantities

Hang on life’s end and linger

Back bone of sharp qualities

From sensation to a nerve

I am caught by one sense

More than vision or curve

The touch of skin as my fence

Man’s inborn reaction

As tender as the touch

Catches my eye’s notion

As a soul’s arousal, caresses much

Binding the beads

As fragile as a thread

Fulfilling our needs

Sparkle of touch, toe to head
