Poetry Challenge – Loop Poetry

by Karen

Lady of the Night

She stirs
Stirs from slumber
Slumber that was deep
Deep eyes of glassy umber

She scans her surrounds
Surrounds herself with delicate cloth
Cloth that she has woven
Woven to capture the frightened moth

Frantically it tries to escape
Escape is impossible
Impossible to know
Know of an appetite so irrepressible

The night is young
Young and wild
Wild is the lady of the night
Night is her lovechild
