Enlightened

Neck deep I envision for

The one who is Omnipotent to be

I immersed shoulders to see

The Solace that I seek. The Unseen.

Arms and hinds covered with brine

Waiting for the Omnipresent to reveal

Stop the hunger! I plead, where is the sign? I cry,

purge the throbbing pangs, I weep, all my toes

Buried in the darkness of saline.

Bravo!! HE says, the voice of Almighty,

At least your eyes covered not, He Bellows

β€˜For I blessed your arms to give, but you hide in marine’.

β€˜I gave legs so you trod and help seek. Wipe clean

slate of your heart and help to be

your brothers’ relief’.

So,

In shame I turn to the horizon high

For forgiveness and promise

to help feed the hunger

at all times.

  1. I wish I could see into the soul of life as well as you can πŸ™‚

    • You are too kind with your words. We were created by God and the beauty of it is—-He created us in His own image. So you are equally blessed with insight. Thank you very much.

  2. I see so much depth, reading what most of the time can only be felt and self understood because of introspective times! Truly marvelous !

  3. I think it’s always best to try and do as much as possible, let your values speak through your actions. If we only wait and hope, then nothing will be done! A lovely poem. Thanks for contributing this week, Shashi!
