Empty Wisdom

by Venkat

Thoughts green and young

Wings of love, passion

Tuning a song unsung

Life, a drop in an ocean

A journey best half way

Actions toward an end

Sunlight best, middle of the day

No road good without a bend

The right time to taste

With a belly half full

Neither plenty, nor waste

Spring weather, beautiful

A mind primed to work

With place for more

Neither lazy, nor a shirk

A little hollow at the core

Music shallow, flute devoid of hole

No life wise with brimming comfort

Ears a little distant, hear them whole

We need small spaces to clean the dirt

The best things may be free

But of no use with a closed mind

The lens has to focus to clearly see

With a little emptiness you will find

This is the 100th quatrain of my life. I can’t believe I did it (however good they may all have been)!
