Love Can Only Be Defined By A Kiss

by tjtherien

Love can only be defined by a kiss
A tender touch, a comforting embrace
Is expressed with respect and tenderness
The calloused hand caressing silken face

Love can only be defined by feeling
The beat and palpitations of the heart
The sort of thing that sends senses reeling
Not knowing where it ends or where to start

Love cannot be defined in verse or words
Love is the quintessential element
Fed the honey of bees and lilt of birds
Love is the ambrosia of sentiment

  1. Ohh, i believe love is much more vast than physical senses friend ~ women fall in love by what they hear usually and men, by what they see; nevertheless we do need evidence of such declarations~ Tenderly expressed !

  2. I wasn’t speaking of physical in a sexual sense…love, even between mother and child is expressed through touch and is understood in a way that defies words

    • I was attempting to generalize that Love in all it’s forms romantic and otherwise is understood in a way through touch and that touch means more than words…touch is the affirmation of those words…I probably didn’t express it well enough
