A haiku for Sandy–the aftermath

by sustainabilitea

The Aftermath

Tonight I can hear
The small house sounds around me
Rain has stopped falling

(You can tell from this haiku that I was fortunate to first of all,  experience Sandy from the edges of her fury and secondly, to even have a house in which to hear noises once the rain stopped.  My prayers and thoughts go out to all those affected by the hurricane and those who are engaged in trying to restore a semblance of normality to millions.)
