Slaves to love

by Devina

Is it not ironic how

Man and woman alike

Assert their independence

But come the time

The two step onto love

They begin to smelt their chains

The step begins to stumble

Smooth hard metal clinked

Unbeknownst chains had linked

Then comes the fateful fall

Giddy and drunk, with a heavy clunk

Their chains did bind

Blissfully ignorant

Of the battle lost

The servile idiots,

Slaves to love.
