I Do

Dappled sun
Stun me

I’m not real
But they see me
Going along

Running
My hands down
And
Drifting
Over vines

Everything green
Calls to me
Calls me out
Makes me green too

Dappled sun
Save me

Turn me into
Soft earth
Cover me up

So delicate
And
Fragrant
I want to be new

I’m changing
But they see me

I want to be like you

Don’t cut me down
